Challenge
One of the leading family business groups in the building materials sector in the Gulf region, was seeking to empower the second generation of the family by transferring the responsibility of group leadership and taking over the business from the founders. Thus, they had an urgent need to organize their internal work environment, from a strategic and operational point of view, and activate governance practices.
Solutions
Through several meetings and workshops with family members and executives in the group, they worked collectively to design a new strategy and organization chart, developed business plans for the group and its affiliated companies, managed corporate performance, and made a smooth transition process.
Results
After 6 months of introducing the changes, the second generation was able to take the leadership of the group according to the agreed plan, in addition to implementing the strategy for meeting potential challenges within the local market.
